THE PROCESS
Every Jejune collection begins with instinct — an exploration of form, fabric, and feeling.
Rather than chasing trends, each piece emerges from a quiet dialogue between imagination and restraint. Designs are first created freely, without limitation or category, allowing shapes and ideas to unfold naturally. Over time, a clear narrative begins to appear — a rhythm of silhouettes and textures that belong together, that speak the same language.
From there, the collection takes structure. Each design is placed onto a range board to ensure harmony — long and short, soft and structured, light and grounded. The balance matters. Each piece has its place, ensuring the collection feels whole rather than repetitive. This is where refinement begins — where intuition meets precision.
Fabric selection follows, chosen not only for beauty but for movement and durability. Working closely with trusted suppliers,we source premium textiles and custom colourways, refining every tone and texture until they sit together in perfect cohesion. Swatches are pinned to boards alongside sketches, allowing the collection to come alive before a single stitch is made.
Technical packs are then meticulously developed, outlining every detail from seam placement to hardware finish. These are passed to our production partners — experienced artisans who translate our vision into tangible form. The first samples arrive, and the process of fitting begins. Each piece is tried, tested, and adjusted to achieve an effortless, flattering fit that feels natural on the body. Some designs evolve. Some are set aside. Only what truly elevates a woman’s wardrobe remains.
When the collection is complete, fabrics are ordered, garments are assembled, and the finished pieces are shipped to Melbourne — ready to become part of a woman’s everyday story. From the first sketch to the final press, each collection takes around six months to create.
